Harley Park – Come to Gold Coast
Why not spend a lazy Sunday on the Broadwater and visit Harley Park? Harley Park is truly one of the greatest parks on the Coast. Magical Broadwater views, a fantastic ship-themed kid’s playground and heaps of shaded picnic tables make this a popular location for local residents.
A stroll along the wide footpaths with seagulls at your side, and smelling the fresh air will relax, and rejuvenate! If that’s not enough, how about some fresh prawns and a swim, or casting the fishing line? The famous Charis Seafoods is perfectly located in Harley Park – whether fish and chips or fresh seafood is your fancy, there is sure to be something for you! If a barbecue is more your thing, there are plenty of these too! With heaps of picnic tables in the area, many of them undercover, you can easily find a spot to sit and enjoy your meal? Why not really kick back? Bring along a picnic rug and relax under the shady trees.
There are two playgrounds, with a nautical-themed ship playground to the south, and a climbing-inspired playground with poles, ropes, ladders and a flying fox to the north. The kids will be kept happy with two very different play options!
No trip to the Broadwater is complete without a swim! The Ian Dipple Lagoon is even floodlit in the evenings! The sandy areas are perfect for building sandcastles and frolicking along the foreshore.
For those keen fishermen, the area also provides access to a boat ramp and fishing spots. We are privileged to call parks such as Harley Park “home”, where families can spend an entire day out, with lots of fun and activities for all ages.
Go on, get out there and enjoy the beautiful Gold Coast weather we all share!Share This
